Focus. Focus. Focus. That's been my mantra lately. But, well, truth be told, consistency is not my strong suit. Awhile back Illustration Friday posted the word "Impossibility" as the theme word for their weekly challenge. At the time, I was dealing with a shoe-versus-feet challenge of my own. The result of that is the tile piece pictured here. It got to this stage about a month ago and has yet to be grouted, finished off... Yea, I know, one foot in front of the other.

And now for something entirely different...

How fun, I love it. I used to have plantar fascitis about 7 years ago and I could hardly walk. Now I only wear closed toe and heel clod hoppers (nurse ratchett looking shoes), but my feet are so much better and I can walk for miles. My younger years I bet I wore some of those same shoes you have illustrated. Is this more than one tile and on a backerboard and you are grouting it? I can't tell from the photo? Just lovely. What a great idea.
oooh new header...i like...
grout away hopefully you won't take a s long as me!!
great tile and fun! I have hobbit feet and wish I could wear pretty shoes.
Really like this tile.
I used to be a shoe freak, 4 inch heels, boxes and boxes of them. Now I wear either my Keens or my Reef sandals. Got rid of all my lovely shoes after I got pregnant and my feet grew a whole shoe size.I keep chanting focus as well. I am all over the place and just when I thought I was narrowing in on Raku, I have these thoughts of earthenware wandering around in my head. Too much to do too little time to do it, sigh......
i'm very interested in shoe vs. feet dilemmas. like linda before, i now have a particularly severe case of plantar fasciitis. to long of a story for a comment but believe i've found the holy grail... post about it later
Hi Linda - Yea, a bunch of tiles - which still need to be grouted to a backer board, etc. I'll get to it... one of these days!
Hi Ang and Meredith - Thanks for visiting and the comments!
Tracey - Yep, Keens rule!
Jim - OK, what's your secret? Rolling frozen water bottles with achey feet seems to help me. As does stretching. As does my daily NIA workout and the (perhaps too occassional?) yogo class. Perhaps the real key is stopping the tick-tocking march of time...
