New work

New work now available in the studio gallery!

I've been doing some small vases and like the way these turned out. I'm finding that shoppers are interested in the larger pieces, but are much more apt to reach for a small vase these days to actually purchase. Easier on the budget, easier to take home and give as holiday gifts.

Off to the studio this morning to finish glazing some small dipping bowls. Also need to make a sign to go out on the sidewalk in front of my place.

Hope everyone has a great day!

I love these little vases! Our show this past weekend was just as you describe - folks seemed to pick up smaller, less expensive items to purchase.

Lark books is doing a call for entries for vases (the 500 series). I think the entry deadline is February 2nd with Julia Galloway as the juror.

Your pots are so cute, I love applied decorations and the subtle colors and I can see any color flower would look nice in them.

I agree about the smaller items too, I've had the same response at the last two shows.

I found free standing placard type signs out front help draw people in - I use one out on the highway here with big letters so the drivers will see it as they speed by - light background and dark letters.

I like the little vases. I am finding the same thing in my studio this season. People ooh and ahh over the big pieces and then purchase the smaller ones.
