I took a workshop with Jeff Oestrich, Nick Joerling & Lana Wilson at Shakerag in TN. His work is so fabulous -- did you buy anything? At Spruce Pine I got a mug from Nick, a cruet from Linda McFarling and the bird jug from Michael Kline - now I really need to sell some of my pots to pay for my extravagance!
Wow, that must have been a great workshop with Nick and Lana too. Sounds like you had a great trip.
I took a week class with him at Odyssey Center in Asheville and had a great time. He has a wickedly dry sense of humor!

Judy - Wow, Jeff, NIck and Lana -- what a great workshop that must have been. I took one with Nick and Lana (10?) years ago and that was awesome. I still remember so much of what they talked about and showed us... Regarding purchases, we were a tad more extravagant than we had planned... But, hey (we told ourselves), we're supporting the economy and our artist friends! It's like that bumper sticker: "We're spending our kids' inheritance."... Our kids will inherit some great pots some day!)
