The sky is falling! The sky is falling!

"Chicken Little"

Every morning my hubster watches the business news and, as you all know, it's full of doom and gloom. I know we can't stick our collective heads in the sand, but there is something to be said for not getting caught up in the whole story of financial woe and having it ruin a perfectly good day.

All we can do is stay in the "now" and do the next indicated thing... Seems like throwing a pot is good idea. I've been away from the studio on a work assignment for a month. We're headed back to Cambria (California central coast) today and I'm looking forward to getting back to the studio!

Hi Everybody. No "Chicken Little" here! The sky really is NOT falling, despite all the gloom and doom in the media. Spent the last couple of days in the studio. Throwing pots and getting re-centered!

These are really cute. I like them a lot. I've been experiementing with some black and white as well. I like the thinness of the lines. It's like a pencil drawing.

I love, love, love the chicken pots....way too cool! Saw some of your mug shots. I bet you had a great time in N. Carolina!!! You are absolutely right .... we need to stay centered and not get sucked into the gloom and doom of the current events, so since I can't 'play with clay right now', I lose my self being in nature and taking pictures and that gets me centered.
What symbolism lies in the pottery studio....center the clay, and by that complex simple act, one becomes centered. I remember well....there are some things one just doesn't forget!
