Famous Potter Challenge #3: Can you guess the maker?

Who made this great mug?
Send me your answer to Famous Potter Challenge #3.

Congrats to Ron, another famous potter, who won yesterday's challenge with his speedy answer. Of course, the answer to yesterday's Famous Potter Challenge  #2 was the delightful Jenny Mendes.

I got to meet  Jenny while visiting Penland a couple of years ago. She was working in the studio there and she paused to chat with my me and my pottery pals. Brought back this little bowl and it reminds me of the fun time we had. I love it.

Hey, I am always so impressed how you are up at 5-6 am California time, reading my blog...wow. You're the best visitor!
Good luck with your back!

Nick Joerling?

This has been fun! Great idea!

Yes, Gary and Emily - It's Nick himself! Thanks for chiming in!

His pieces are so characteristic. My husband and I got to take a workshop at Arrowmont that he team-taught with Lana Wilson.

We won (yes, WON!) one of his teapots in a drawing. It's a treasure and has such a personality. Kinda dances up on our display case.

OK, next challenge is going to have to be lots harder!

Well I'm not first -- but it's definitely Nick Joerling. What a great mug.

Hi Patricia! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Watershed has been such a great experience for me; I just love sharing it with everyone.

I like your "Famous Potter Challenge" idea...a nice way to get a dialogue going, and show people some great pots!
