Two little tea bowls from a potter whose life in clay became a great book. His lovely partner does beautiful work as well, but I don't have one of her pieces... yet! (It's on my wish list.) Here's one more hint: His clay body and glazes have his name on them and are sold commercially! Who is this great ceramic artist/potter?

Tom Coleman???
coleman all the way! you made that too easy;)
yep.
How do you people know all this stuff? Have I been buried in work all these years, ignoring all these famous potters???
I know who Tom Coleman is. I've used a couple of his glazes from Aardvark, but I didn't recognize the cups.
Ditto Linda!

Yep, you guys are GOOD! Tom and Elaine Coleman did a demonstration/talk at the community college in Bakersfield, CA., years ago. The instructor invited some of my pottery pals and me to sit in. Tom did the demos and talked, and then sold some pieces they had brought along. These are a really fun reminder of a great day.
Thanks everybody for your comments!
