Finally, some new pieces!
We're remodeling our home in Cambria and spent much of the week deciding on all the finishes -- selecting carpet, cabinet pulls, lighting, paint -- really a dazzling array of choices. We're having a blast and working through our likes/dislikes to arrive at things we both love.
These will be bisque-fired and then clear-glazed for a final firing. This design is popular and I enjoy doing it when I can just get "zen" with the process, listen to some NPR and relax. I was totally DONE at the end of this session!

wow these are soooo cool!
I love your creative mind! The design is like a contemporary take on The Flintstones ... ie Wilma's big rock jewelry.
Would be so fun to serve with at a party.
Yabadabadooo!
I love all this CAT stuff on your sight! I see that TENDERPAW is here above me...to funny.
Thanks for your imput on my kids plates. I'm still not sure how I feel about them but we'll see what happens. Jen
You said it, that's a popular design, gorgeous work!
Thanks Tenderpaw, Jen and Gary! I really appreciate the feedback... Feels so good to be connected to other artists!
Patricia,
Thank you for your nice compliments on my blog. It's fairly new, so it surprises me that other people are reading! It is such a neat way to connect with potters from all over who can relate to the ups and downs, and long hours.

I love the design on the plates. They remind me of some geometric designs you see in fabrics of the late 50's to early 60's.
I have been working alone in the studio for eleven years and recently got out into an open studio to teach 2 classes, but there are also dozens of students and professionals coming and going: it is really unexpectedly exciting. Therefore, it is also unexpectedly exciting hanging around potter-bloggers too, (although not every potter is a nice person--nice people here though!).
Oh wow! these are just beautiful! I'd love to see some larger photos.
where do you sell your work?
Hi Kimberly,
Thanks for checking out my work! I'm so pleased that you like it. I don't have good pics of these guys yet. Am planning on getting some new images done next week and will get some to you. Am selling in my gallery at 2088 Main Street in Cambria, CA. Though an online store may be in my future, right now I'm trying to keep up with gallery sales.
